Mushing Holland Sleddog Club organize in the beautiful province Drenthe in a small village called Schoonloo, nearby the capital city of Drenthe: Assen, famous of the Dutch TT motor cycles racing, the General Assembly 2008
Back to Nature
_ We will sleep in a nice home at 2,5 hectare between the woods of Grolloo and Schoonloo.
_ There are two big rooms with each 17 beds and also 2 other rooms: one with 4 beds, the other with 2 beds. Please take with you your sleeping bag!!!
_ We will eat typical Dutch meals and at Saturday evening we will make a campfire and grill outside.

PROGRAM:
_ Friday evening we will serve a small diner for those who are arriving early, our small club bar is open, so we can drink together a few good Dutch beers!
_ Saturday morning we have breakfast together in the lunchroom
_ General Assembly starts at 9.00 hour
_ Lunch we have at 13.00 hour
_ Diner at 19.30 hour. We will have different kind of typical Dutch soups and salads like potato-, fish- and meat-salads served with bread, deserts: fresh fruits and ice
_ After diner there is plenty time to relax, watch European Championship soccer games and of course we have the Iditarod on DVD and Finnmarkslopet presentation. The bar is open and behind the campfire and grill we can discuss about the new winter races.

TRAVEL: Schoonloo is 2 hours driving from Amsterdam by car or train. By dog team circa 10 hours!
_ By plane: Fly to Schiphol, Amsterdam Airport and travel by train to Assen about 1.30 hours, travel by bus to Schoonloo about 20 min. The bus will stop in front of the Hotel/Guesthouse 'De Strubben', Hoofdstraat 4.
_ By car/motor: Drive to Hoogeveen-Assen = highway A28, follow Assen- N33 to Gieten/Veendam. Then the first turn to your right = N376 to Grolloo, then follow Schoonloo, Guesthouse 'De Strubben', Hoofdstraat 4, 9443 TJ
